In a bold new cabaret, Alex Lam journeys from the year 3026 back through memory, music and imagination to ask a final human question: what makes us worth saving? As a global alliance of machines prepares to shut humanity down, one family – the Lam clan – turns to music as proof of love, legacy and the value of human connection.
Playing a descendant of the Lam family in the distant future, Lam travels back to the 1980s to rediscover the songs and stories that defined his ancestors. Joined by a five-piece band, the Lunar Antz youth chorus and a special mystery guest, he traces his lineage through iconic melodies and cinematic nostalgia inspired by films like An Autumn’s Tale.
Structured as a multi-act cabaret, the performance unfolds across past, present and future, with each act revealing the strength of family bonds and exploring what legacy truly means – and how the melodies we inherit connect us across time.
